“Why does pretty much every designer or art director have a laptop computer? I know that there are certain people who need one (i.e. freelancers) but I believe that if you are going to own a laptop, then please, take part in some laptop etiquette.
For starters, print out your proofs. Do not sit there and expect everybody to crowd around your screen. Simply put, I cannot be bothered. Guess what, we have printers here and you can print stuff off for free. Or take 5 minutes to go to Staples or Kinkos — or are you too busy pinching every penny you get? And why wouldn’t you print it out anyways? Do you not understand that the RGB gamut is larger than the CMYK gamut?
Do you not understand that computer monitors translate colour differently than that of printed material? Do you not understand that the proof on your screen is 50% the size of what the actual printed proof will look like? Dumbass. ”
